TECHNICAL FEATURES
The photovoltaic strip is an energy harvesting technology developed specifically for applications on systems completely independent of conventional energy sources. The basis is a sizing of photovoltaic cells, control electronics and storage batteries that is appropriately balanced and such as to support the host system to make it completely autonomous for a period of time that is functionally compatible with the function performed. This patent was created for applications aimed at litmus umbrellas and self-illuminating shutters, but can be adapted to a variety of solutions that require localized electrical energy. See street lamps, sliding doors, self-propelled vehicles, etc... limited to the specific imagination. The photovoltaic strip as conceived also houses a strip of LEDs and the control electronics include both the regulation of light intensity and the MPPT function of the photovoltaic cells. The control electronics receives power on a dedicated DC bus and produces energy on a dedicated PV bus. It is also controlled by a remote BMS/EMS type system via CAN communication. The control electronics are completely waterproof and can work underwater. The photovoltaic cells and lighting LEDs are impregnated with a transparent resin which increases the photovoltaic performance and makes the entire strip protected to the maximum level required by the standards.
