Traction systems and, more generally, storage battery systems include auxiliary devices typically powered at voltages different from the power ones. For this reason, a completely decoupled power supply with a 3.5kV insulation level capable of providing a 12V power supply has been developed. This power supply can be configured in multiple powers starting from 400W up to 1200W. The control software manages the DC-DC in terms of switching on and off and carries out functional checks in real time in order to guarantee the necessary protections and constantly know consumption. For this purpose, voltages and currents are measured and the energy generated by the power supply is calculated. Commands and states are exchanged with the control units via CAN communication lines.
