The BMSS-EQ is the electronics placed inside the battery racks with measurement and actuation functions. The collected data are transmitted to the BMSM which manages them. FET has developed two versions of BMSS, a simpler one that performs cell equalization and contributes to the alignment of the entire battery and one with the function of charging the cell rack locally. Electrically the BMSS circuits are always identical but is tailored according to the packaging of the battery racks from a mechanical point of view. The management software performs the functions that the BMSM requires. Depending on the complexity of the battery, the quantity of BMSS modules changes and can reach quantities exceeding 100 units for the most complex and most capacitive batteries. The BMSS-EQ contains within it a continuously updated functional reference model which allows to constantly know the health status of the rack and how this has changed over time. The models of the racks making up a battery are compared by the BMSM which determines the overall health status of the battery and the maintenance interventions when required.
